Est-ce que quelqu'un peut m'expliquer le fonctionnement des élections américaines, s'il vous plaît? Je ne comprends pas comment sont élus les "grands électeurs" ni comment sont élus les candidats pour chaque parti.
Les états considérés comme "grands électeurs" sont des états qui ont une meilleure économie, les plus importants des Etats-Unis, dans ces Etats les voix comptent double. Ensuite, il y a 2 partis, les démocrates et les républicains. Dans ces 2 partis, plusieurs candidats se présentent. On organise donc des élections qu'on appelle les "primaires" afin de déterminer lesquels de ces candidats représenteront leur parti (on élit donc un démocrate et un républicain). Au terme de ces élections, qui ne se déroulent pas en même temps mais qui s'étalent sur plusieurs mois, la campagne présidentielle commence. Et le 4 Novembre, les américains voteront pour leur prochain président. Cette année, le Républicain désigné est John McCain, la course pour les démocrates continue entre Barack Obama et Hillary Clinton.
